About

Hello! I’m Taís (pronounced tah-eese) and I've been a graphic designer since 2016, but the journey started long before that. I immigrated to Canada from Brazil when I was almost 12 and I was so shy that instead of trying to make new friends, I spent hours on my computer playing with Photoshop and HTML. I hardly spoke English or French, but I expressed myself through art and code.

When it was time to pick a career path, I had a tough choice to make. Science or art? I love both to this day, but my art teacher nudged me towards the creative direction. So I completed a Fine Arts Bachelors from Concordia University (Montreal, Canada) in 2014. During my time there, my roommates were graphic designers. Watching them work was one of my favorite hobbies.

And then, everything clicked. I realized that graphic design gave me the structure that I missed in science while still allowing me to be creative. So, I decided to hone my skills even further and study Graphic Design after my Fine Arts degree.

Now, I love branding, print and web design.

At the end of 2019, I packed up my belongings and moved to the country with my boyfriend. And now I work from a cozy riverside home with a wood stove and the sweet sounds of the rolling river (and my dog barking nonstop).
